12. The pigs control the animals by telling them that everything they did was for the good of everyone, and by giving a good excuse for changing something in their favor. Old Major started the rebellion, he inspired the animals to rebel against humans. The pigs pursued the animals to tell them right from wrong; and told the animals that all their choices were right.
